The eternal mystery
St. Petersburg, Russia

St. Petersburg literally closer to the Western world. It was founded by Tsar Peter the Great Immortal three centuries ago. This city is Russia's "window to the west." The city is located 400 kilometers northwest of the Russian capital Moscow. The airport of St. Petersburg has direct flights from many European capitals. St. Petersburg is huge so the best mode of transport is the metro. Trains trams trolleys complement the network.
 Daytime temperatures hover around minus 10 degrees refreshing. They fall on low overnight. January is in the middle of Russian winter. This is the time when dreams come true for all those golden domes over the snow-covered roofs. Frozen rivers, abundant food and drink and rushing through the icy streets triples (carriages pulled by three horses). Russia is fully adapted to the climate, so his life continues merrily through the snow.
Since Peter the Great created his new capital on the wetlands had to be constructed drains, adding much to the beauty of the city today. These waterways cause than Venice and Amsterdam. Along with the drainage channels are found great views of the broad streets, monumental buildings in classic style and great parks. The result is a spectacular grandeur that leave you breathless. Stunning Winter Palace overlooking the Neva River is a major part of the State museum "Hermitage." One of the largest collections of world art objects are located in the city which has always been the capital of culture. Russian ballet was born in St. Petersburg and its streets are six Tchaikovsky, Dostoyevsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Pushkin. Each of these artists lived his often tragic life here.
Now St. Petersburg attracting more interest to him for investment from Western countries. No doubt this is the most chic city in Eastern Europe because of its nightlife, shopping and tirelessly unique restaurants.
Week in royal city
Day 1
Stroll through the historic "Hermitage" on the southern bank of the river Neva. Then the main street, "Nevsky Prospekt" great places for shopping, monumental architecture, entertainment and atmosphere.
Day 2
State museum "Hermitage" one of the world's largest art museums, is located in the stunning "Winter Palace" and is a major landmark in each visit to the city. Try the nightlife at the Jazz Club JFC, DJ bar "dacha" or dance club "like Second floor."
Day 3
Explore the lavish imperial palaces and parks of Petrodvorets - "Russian Versailles". Later we see the famous ballet "Kirov" in theater "Marinski."
Day 4
Space in the western part of Nevsky Prospect is rich in attractions. Incorporating richly painted and Kazansky Isaakievska Sabor, church with dome-like bulbs "of Resurrection" and the museums of Russia, Pushkin and vodka.
Day 5
Continue the examination you should go to the north bank of the Neva River, to see "Peter and Paul Fortress" - the oldest building in St. Petersburg. Another option is to try the sport slide "Ska" has indoor and outdoor rinks.
Day 6
To spend a day in the country take a trip to the great imperial possession "Royal Village" has a Baroque "Ekaterisnki Palace" and the park. Back in the city go to vanguard bar "Fish Factory".
Day 7
Cheykovski graves of Dostoevsky and monasteries are located in "Alexander Nevsky".
Tips

  •  do not drink water! Running water in St. Petersburg that is notorious haven for nasty parasites.
  •  Look for thieves.
  •  In active church men removed their hats and women should cover their heads completely.
